And Then There Was One!

I think this could be the only duckling left on reservoir. It was certainly the only one I saw and heard this afternoon, and it seemed to be terrified of me! It swam saw so fast it looked like it was running on water, poor thing. There was a Coot swimming close by so maybe it was keeping a lookout for it.
For a day that started off damp and dull it's turned out quite nice. The reservoir was incredibly still and quite warm. I've put some other cropped photos on Flickr of a Wren and a ladybird if you want to have a look.

Update The Aphid saw 9 other ducklings later on this afternoon, I'm so relieved!
