Uncle John ...

This is my uncle John ...

He was Mr. 'GB Men's Gymnastics' for over 3 decades.

Uncle John was the Olympic coach and then went on to develop the foundations, structure and training facilities for high performance gymnastics in the UK.

The recent success of the British men's team winning their first ever team Gold at the European Championships (above the Russians!) can be credited to his vision.

I remember (when I was a young lad) watching the 1972 Olympics on our black and white TV and seeing him with the gymnastic team. None of me marras would believe me when I told them at school the next day!

Proud moment seeing him carry the Olympic Torch ... Proud ...
