Firth Tower.
I had quite a stressful day today negotiating a price for our beach house which is currently on the market.
I find the whole Real Estate process extremely annoying... I wish the price you set was the price you got instead of playing stupid games with offers and counter offers . I guess we will find out tomorrow, but we have made our bottom line offer back to the buyer...now we play the waiting game.
The only thing I did regarding my painting which I started yesterday was buy some new wide brushes. Hopefully, tomorrow I will get cracking on it.
I took myself for a little walk this afternoon, to our local historic park to escape from the stress for a bit.
This is Firth Tower, built in 1882 by Josiah Clifton Firth, the Pakeha (white man) "father'of my town.
It was used as a lookout over the country side surrounding his large estate. At that time there were Maori land wars and the Watchers could see if there were any war-faring Maori on the war path.
It was also used as the estate office and as sleeping quarters for his single men workers.
