Finally.....

.... The skies are clearing. Looking westward from the bar at the hotel we can see cleaning skies over the Gulf of Mexico. It's rained all day today, horizontal rain at times. Reminiscent of a trip down the Maine coast with I and S. We rented an SUV for the day, a tall vehicle with high ground clearance so we could splash through the road flooding. We drove up through the keys to Islamorada: the furthest point we had reached in a previous visit, when we drove down from Ft Lauderdale. Now we've driven the whole thing.
