Highland Life

By Baron

Well we made it after 20 days

I got up early this morning as I thought the chicks would fledge today.
Well they didn't let me down and started leaving the nest box at 7.35am
It was hectic trying to take photos ( See Blipfolio ) and also record the event on DVR camera. I managed to take a story of stills and have chosen the best ones to let you all see as the happy event as it transpired.
The little fellow you see here was the last one out and instead of making for the branches of the tree he flew onto the grass. Having just come out of the box he wasn't scared of me just a couple of feet away. In fact his is the last picture of the blipfolio with my finger in the shot, then I took this one.
One thought, I've now got 8 extra Bluetits in the garden. Nice when a plan comes together.
Because of the excitement, I have postponed the Sea Eagles until tomorrow. It was well worth it, don't you think!!
