Returning back to Nature
One of the regular dog-walking venues for Serin and I is Morkery Wood - just to the East of the A1 on the Rutland/Lincolnshire border. It used to be an RAF ammunition store in WWII. All the remains now are bits of concrete track and the brick foundations of what were probably nissen huts or similar. An impressive woodland has grown in the intervening 70 years. It's difficult to believe it has not been there much longer.
