Sea bird o're the ocean

The wind was quite strong and there seemed to be whitecaps further out.  This type of bird flew across my line of vision more than once.  Think it is a masked booby, an elegant flyer.  These are closely related to the gannet (says Wikipedia), but don't think gannets are in Hawaii.   Didn't see them dive but just flying across the waves.  Beautiful birds in flight.
