The Anvil

A windy showery cold day made loading pigs and finishing the drain we had been working on "interesting" !
Two observations on the bird life. The Swallows have returned in dribs and drabs last week and are looking at nest sites, they appear to be moving to the right of the nests of last year! Is this a prediction for the election!! ;)
Secondly the Thrushes are foraging flat out, I am sure they have a brood that I have not found. The anvil above with one of the victims of it, was being used today inside the foldyard another marker of the inclement weather.
