Party Day
A day of parties. Martha's this morning which was a fantastic mad science theme. The lady was great and did lots of cool experiments with the kids. Toby was in a funny mood and spent a lot of the time in the corner pinching crisps but did join in a few things towards the end.
Then home for a quick lunch and cake bake. M had promised tea and biscuits to the stanton dads if they were able to help move the kids playhouse. He came back from the shop with some sorry looking cookies. Oh no, not in my house! So with the help of my trusty new mixer, I whipped up a lemon drizzle, which went down a treat and felt like fairer compensation for coming over on a sat afternoon.
Whilst that was being sampled I took the kids to party number two - a farm themed fancy dress do for Frankie and Phoenix (5 and 3). Eva went as a pick your own strawberry (see my extra pic) and won a prize as voted for by the party goers. I felt a bit guilty to be honest as it wasn't homemade and some of the others had gone to far more effort than I had to dress their kids up but she did look so cute! Toby wore his farmers coat. He doesn't really do fancy dress unless it is starwars themed. Lots of games and bouncy slide which Toby was barely off. A really good party once again.
Mike came to the last hour or so and took the kids home whilst I took Lime out for a ride. He moved onto his summer grazing today with some new friends. April had moved him for me so he wasn't left alone but he had only been out about 30 mins when I got him back in again so it unsettled them all a bit when I returned him after my ride. I had to stay a while to check no-one was going to get kicked or injured bombing about. There wasn't any bucking so it all seemed fine.
