Sailing Tom Hand

This is our friend "Red" in the white cap, sailing his boat Tom Hand with his friend Yannie. Red is 90 years young and loves taking his sailboat out. Red named his boat "Tom Hand" after a friend from his Merchant Marine days (around WW2). A few years ago Red brought the the boat to the Boatworks -it was falling apart. Because Red (Sam Wade Sears) is a good friend the Boatworks, they re-built the boat entirely as a gift. Red tried to pay them, but they refused!! A couple months ago I blipped a nice photo of Red sprucing up the boat for a visit from the son of the man it was named after, HERE. 

I used the "extra photos" to share a picture of Steve & Yannie launching Tom Hand from the beach. It was nice and windy that day so they had a good sail. I don't often head over there in the morning, but I had a really nice time visiting with Red & Yannie sailing. Thanks, Red!
