snakeshead fritillary

Fritillaria meleagris. -  First saw this as a watercolour by Charles Rennie Mackintosh before ever seeing the plant. He painted it in Warbleswick a hundred years ago and I have a print hanging on the wall.
I have rendered a "different" treatment.
