Tulips from Härnösand
These are the first tulips I’ve seen so far this year and they were planted (masses of them) outside the swimming pool in Härnösand.
They looked particularly lovely against the blue sky.
The local council definitely gets brownie points for this lovely display.
At home and away from the immediate coast the tulips are still just a collection of leaves that recently pushed up from the ground!
The picture was taken on a lunchtime walk, on which I saw the first tulips AND the first boats moored on the jetty at the head of the southern sound. I tried out the "extra photo" blip feature too, with a couple of other spring flower images - another view of the tulips and a picture of a small white and blur flower growing in masses in a lawn, possibly a scilla...
