Supera Moras

I learnt something new today. That this mosaic, on a piece of concrete in the gardeners storage area of the Trust, is from the old hospital site in the centre of the city. This was cut out and taken when the old place shut. Unfortunately, it has never been laid in the new site, so sits, forlorn, behind a wire fence (hence the close up, as I had to poke my lens through the fence to get a shot). 

The Latin, Supera Moras, is the town motto, and means Overcome Delays. Its a great modern motto for a hospital too....
