4 + 2 = 6 (finally)

I had a heart-stopping moment today after I had downloaded an upgrade to Lightroom 6 (from 5.7). The installer told me that it could not find a valid product on my computer. 

Now, when one is married to a software professional, it is not usual to have naughty software scattered about the place and I knew my installation was kosher. Adobe would not have it.

I had to dig deep into memory before recalling  that Mr L had bought me a physical copy. Thank goodness that  I tend to  hoard defunct software installation discs... and that I had a good idea where this one was to be found. I waved it at the message on my screen and shouted at it.... "See, I'm legal!"

I installed 4 again, so that I could read off the license number - but of course, it would not run as my Previews are all v 5 previews...

EEP!

I delved into the files and found a license number but the version 6 installer kicked that out too.

By now my heart was all a-flutter. Had I wasted £50? Had I been mistaken and did I really have ripped off software, surely not.

Eventually I tried my Adobe account (which I did not know that I had) and thankfully found that I had registered version 4. I took the license number that I found there, pasted it in and it worked.

Phew

Wow - it does go fast! Weather permitting (which it is not today - see extra photo), I shall test the new panorama stitching feature for my next Monday Outlook. I hope I remember that I am doing this - we shall be full of excitement come Monday morning as we shall have printed off the day's puzzles for the MUMS Puzzle Hunt - an annual treat of ours. (We have 6 spaces left on our team, should you wish to join us) We do tend to get a little carried away and sit in bed poring over puzzles, forgetting all about breakfast and not showering until lunchtime. I think it is some form of addiction.

It seems that we are unable to add text to the extra images - why, that's weird? Anyway - we are staying in because the hailstones are like pigeon eggs!
