Small acts of kindness

There was a parcel notice waiting for me when I returned from Canada yesterday, so I picked it up today. It was this book, on ice hockey in unlikely places. Brian Lamb sent it to me (and my daughter), because when he came to stay we'd been talking about the dearth of good hockey books, and he'd mentioned this one, and sent it as a thanks for us putting him up (which was a pleasure).
Little acts of kindness like this make the world a better place, don't they?
