Leafing on a Jet Plane
This was the scene out the Bedroom window this morning and The Boss got all excited and started getting his serious tripod out so I decided to get out of his way and wait downstairs for breakfast. There was some delay.
We have a 100 +/- year old English Lime tree in our barkyard and these trees drop stuff. The B’s don't mind this at all as it provides great shade in the summer and in the Autumn all the leaves fall (now you know why the Americans call it this) off. There is about a 2 week slot when this happens with a vengeance and at this time The Boss rakes and dumps at regular intervals and also makes Blips out of what is presented. ME, I don't much care about leaves so again I stay out of the way.
Staying out of the way is an important part of my job spec.
This afternoon The Boss and Wild Moose Chase and acyclinggranny went to see “The Salt of The Earth” which is about the Photographer Sabastiao Salgado and is a photographic MUST SEE.
Warning..There are some very disturbing images there as Humans seem to behave in very disturbing ways seemingly having learnt nothing from watching dogs for years. You just don't see all us Wheaten Terriers ganging up and trying to wipe out Jack Russell’s for some event that happened ages ago.
But the movie is filled with simply wonderful mono images and also has a great story about trees (dogs are very interested in trees) which lifts the heart. You may buy an Ice cream only if it is made from free range organic cows milk and home baked Hokey Pokey…asyoudo…Right!!!
The Boss gets “senior” rates and Tiny Tuss was allowed in for free.
Of course The Boss is of “that age” that remembers Peter Paul and Mary with fondness. They were on the same flight.
