Quill

A discarded feather of one of our guinea fowl caught my attention and I was once more in awe of nature's attention to detail.  The soft downy texture of the feathers close to the body and the strong eye catching detail of the external plumage make it quite complex. The feather is not broken. this is the natural curve that follows the line of the bird's torso.
