Dumbarton House

Drove down to Georgetown to take in Dumbarton House and Gardens; part art gallery part botanic gardens.  Interesting collection of Byzantine and pre-Columbian art; the later with a collection of gold jewellery which clearly justified the large number of burly security guards.

Georgetown is lovely but it attracts the crowds - a place to avoid at weekends.
