Snowy Stromness from the Golden Mariana

Over to Hoy on eaglewatch duty. Snow fell yesterday and it started again as the boat left the harbour. It's a bit hit or miss to catch anything when the snow is thick. On Hoy I watched the female white-tailed sea eagle on her nest..then another two in the air. Visitors were lucky-  between wintry showers we got beautiful views of one of the eagles soaring over the cliff called the Hamars. Several bonxies were less enthusiastic and mobbed the bird. All beyond my camera range but several other shots here:  https://www.flickr.com/photos/octobermoth/
