Snake in the grass

Glorious sunshine and a very pleasant morning walk on Wooler Common. Birds, butterflies and a red squirrel. And as Mr M drove us back to the flat (the long way round, of course) he spotted this adder crossing the road. By the time we got out of the car and walked back, it was slithering away through the grass.

A day of - guess what - unpacking boxes!
