Spring in the park
Another beautifully morning, even if a bit chilly.
Couldn't resist taking a photo of our village park as it looked so lovely in the sunshine. The cherry trees at their best today, and also the beds of polyanthus.
You can also see the church spire, and the bowling green.
I had just walked down to get a get well card for a friend who had a mastectomy on Saturday. I do hope all went well. She is one of the members of our walking club, and we always have our New Years Day
lunch at her house, as well as the Summer BBQ. A kind and lovely lady.
The contractors, sent by the insurance company, have been here all afternoon, taking the ceiling down in the downstairs toilet.
What a big job for such a little room!
Asbestos was found in the artexing, and so it has been a specialist job.
Now 6.30 pm and they have nearly finished.
Percentage of asbestos.....0.1% ! But rules are rules!!
Apparently all artex prior to 2000 has this amount in. Nothing to worry about, as long as you don't disturb it.
We now await the plasterer. May be tomorrow!
As the song goes " It all makes work for the working man to do!"
