Monomonday: Fire - Pieris "Forest Flame"

Contemplated phoning 999 and asking the local fire brigade to pop round and pose for today's Monomonday Challenge but thought better of it!

Instead I went for a blip (less likely to lead to a prison sentence) of the Pieris in our back garden. Also known as Forest Flame for its bright red leaf tips at this time of year, it just about qualifies for the theme of today's challenge by the back door (which coincidentally is where it's situated!)

Of course, mono doesn't quite do it justice so thought I'd try the new feature out to give an idea of what it actually looks like.

We took Tess's Dad out for lunch today. His chest infection seems to be clearing up but he's been a bit low emotionally so we're hoping a trip out will have cheered him up.
