Fish are jumping

Carp streamers, called koi noburi, are starting to go up all over the city in preparation for Children's Day which is celebrated on May 5th.

In Japanese culture, the carp symbolises courage and strength because of it's ability to swim up a waterfall. 

We cannot see our reflection in running water. It is only in still water that we can see.
