Looming night

Walking the dog up on the golf course tonight once all the golf-sticks men and women had gone home, we nearly saw the sunset but I was quite pleased anyway with this view of the silhouetted beech and oak trees. These trees look almost ominous, like looming sentinels for the forthcoming darkness. So different from the lovely green view of these trees from my early morning walks.
