Early doors......

......Whitley Bay......just a random shot on the way back from the bank. The greenish doors on the left belong to The Victoria pub (though it did suffer a short interim incarnation as 'The Bedroom' before sensibly reverting to its original name!).....in the old days it used to have a 'ladies only' bar (only the size of a large wardrobe) where one could partake of a swift rejuvenating glass of port and lemon or a half of Mackeson's in a stemmed glass mid Saturday morning shop and away from the prying eyes of the menfolk.....er, so I'm told......
