Hailstones don't deter me!

We set off, regardless, to the holiday lodge. to do some gardening. The recent hot weather had baked the earth making it difficult to dig. Added to that, our property is on the site of a former building and there is a lot of rubble bellow the topsoil.

The Man mowed the lawn and I continued planting in a newly created flower bed. It will look great next year when the plants are established.

Back in our own garden, I noticed this Bleeding Heart in flower in one of the patio sinks. I'd been to busy to notice that it was flowering, I wasn't expecting it this early.

I was so tired that I slept all evening but I do love my plants and gardening must be my favourite of household jobs.
