Stobo Hope valley

I went walking today with D & J hoping to find lambs, but there were none - although there were some on the drive down and lots on the return journey. The walk followed the John Buchan Way from Stobo up the Harrow Hope valley over to the Stobo Hope valley, and here you can see the view as we crossed from one valley to the next. We then left the John Buchan Way to return down the Stobo Hope Valley - you can see our return route on the far side of the valley. It was a day of two seasons, winter and spring. The temperature dropped to five degrees on our journey to the start of the walk and there were a couple of hail storms, but we ate our lunch in sunshine and weren't in a hurry to continue.
