Sir Steve Redgrave

I don't think I need to explain who Sir Steve is.....this is a statue of him in Higginson Park in Marlow, by the artist Neale Andrew and was placed there in 2002.  The Park is right next to the river Thames and is always busy.

When I first saw this statue years ago, from a distance I might add, it looked to me like he was naked :)

We walked from the Park down the towpath the Temple Mill Island and then back via a more inland path.  As usual if you walk 10 minutes away from the busy places you hardly see anyone.  Very overcast, dull day and not very warm either.

I went to the allotment and used the Mantis Tiller on the patch we uncovered from black plastic this year, we have rotavated it twice and the rain last night had softened it perfectly for the Mantis to turn it to a finer tilth....it's getting there at last
