THIS IS HOW TO WORSHIP!
A good service this morning, although not many there - but it was good to be able to worship God, to pray and to hear God's Word proclaimed. Stephen was a man of many talents this morning, as he led, played and also preached.
Stephen talked about worship being "all of me delighting in all of God" - and this photograph shows James, one of our youngest members, worshipping in his own way.
He had been out in another room during the service, learning about Solomon building the Temple and when he came back in, he and Nikki, his mum, were at the back waving the flags as we sang our last hymn - then in a most amazing way for a 2 year old - he walked forward with his flag and just stood at the front. He did this several times, and I must admit I found it very moving.
It reminded me of the verse which says :
A little child shall lead them.
Isaiah 11:6
Such childlike faith and put into action too! Then James brought a smile to our faces as we were having coffee after the service when he picked up the microphone from the table at the front and began singing "Shine, Jesus, Shine" and "Jesus' love is very wonderful" - all credit to his parents for teaching him the words, and especially his mum, Nikki, and I pray that he will always know and feel that love throughout his life.
Must dash - off to a Bring & Share lunch at Stephen & Christine's - shame it's so cold, but I'm sure we will have a great time together.
Have a wonderful week, fellow Blippers.
