Classic Byron's Chateau de Chillon
Today's blip offering is one of the classic "tourist" postcard shots of the area (caught on the way back form the cinema). Apologies if it has been done many times before. Lord Byron was one such tourist who wrote The Prisoner of Chillon a 392-line narrative poem, inspired by his visit to the Chateau. Written in 1816, it chronicles the imprisonment of a Genevois monk, François Bonivard, from 1532 to 1536.
