Saturday: Max

It has been a slow blip day today, so it is about time that Max got a look in.  His brother, Fred, does have a tendency to hog the limelight - mainly because he sits still for longer and is therefore easier to photograph.

We saw Wendy off at the airport this morning and then had a domestic day, shopping, washing the car, and generally catching up.  We did have a social engagement planned this afternoon but it was cancelled as Denis wasn't very well.  And while I wish Denis a very speedy recovery, I was secretly quite relieved not to have to go out.  

This last week on leave has been really relaxing, mainly because I imposed a complete Blackberry ban on myself.  I figured that my colleagues knew how to get hold of me if they needed to - and after a first day of itchy fingers, I settled right into it.  I have learnt a lot from that, and will try and repeat the experience whenever the circumstances allow.  I did check it today, though, in preparation for Monday and am, of course, mildly irritated by some of the stuff I saw.  A double lesson in the value of letting go!
