horns of wilmington's cow

I wouldn't go so far as saying I 'like' spiders, but as the days get warmer, and the various bugs start coming out more, I find myself drawn to the macro lens and finding out what the tiny world looks like. In this case a Zebra Spider (I think), also known as a Jumping Spider. And it's only about 3mm long.

There was somewhere I could have been today, but for various reasons I wasn't. Instead was a nicely relaxed day accompanying Mel into town, where I procured a lovely book, about Insects and Spiders as it turns out, with old line drawn pictures forming a beautiful little compendium. Lunch, alcohol, sun, a walk in the park, a Japanese meal at home co-chefed, watching the latest installment in Isla repelling the advances of Big Ginge.

Tomorrow off to the bright lights of Clydebank to watch some BMXing (and write about it).
