Visiting the Queen

Except she wasn't there.
Went up to Balmoral today to run a 10k race in cold, breezy and mainly bright conditions, though there were a couple of brief snow showers.
Nice course, with quite a long, but not particularly steep, hill which I managed to run all the way, though nearly everyone around me was walking. Finished in 61 mins 19 secs, and also did about another 3 miles getting to and from the start and warming up.
Lots of people and I finished in a respectable place.
Some wonderful views of Lochnagar on the way home but nowhere to stop for photos.
Now enjoying a glass of red wine.
