THE ARRIVAL OF SPRING

We went to the new David Hockney exhibition at Salts Mill, Saltaire this morning. There were so many more paintings than I expected, and it was most interesting. The colours are so vibrant and the i-pad technique is fascinating. Unfortunately, or probably fortunately, I do not own an i-pad, as I have enough hobbies to tinker with already.

Tip: go to Salts Mill at 10am opening time. We had the gallery completely to ourselves as we walked round. But then small children arrived who discovered the acoustics of the high roof and screamed and screamed and screamed until they were probably sick. If so I hope their parents cleaned it up. It is an art gallery,  not a Whacky Warehouse.
