Pedalling on Paliament
It was Pedal on Parliament Day today in Edinburgh and the rain conveniently cleared away for the thousands of cyclists to gather in the Meadows before making their way down to the Parliament at Holyrood.
His Lordship and I have never participated as it is far too congested for our liking. Families with small children, some on those tiny wooden bikes with no pedals, are in the middle of a huge crowd of cyclists. One youngster wobbling and there's scope for a pile up.
Nevertheless, it's a wonderful sight to watch and this guy on stilts was doing a great job of entertaining before the start. I wonder if he made it down the High Street.
