Hello, Dallas!

On the plane today there were three ladies celebrating their birthdays. Our very personable flight crew had the passengers close the window shades and turn on their call lights. While the families of the birthday girls could bring cake, they definitely could not light candles on board. So the whole plane wished them happy birthday then "blew" out the overhead lights. Lovely spirit of community, I thought.

So, I made it to Vicky's (my friend since grade school) despite terrifically bad weather and now the week of fun and art begins.
