One more sleep...

Till the big move!!!

The removers Paul and Scott (I think that was their names. I am terrible with names. As soon as someone introduces themselves to me within 1 second their name escapes me!!) arrived just after 1pm and have spent the day packing and emptying.

I didn't realise they would actually start packing the removal van today so was a tad shocked when I saw the sofas from the conservatory passing the bedroom window! They worked like a well oiled machine and lifted stuff single handedly that I couldn't even move! all that's left is a few bits of furniture, our bed and Alan's bed! They will be back at 8am and say we will be on our way within 2 hours!

David's been up at The House all day today. Utter chaos apparently. What fun! 9 tradesmen's vans were there at one point! Oh and there's no door on our bedroom or the spare bedroom next to ours where Ele and Kenny will be sleeping tomorrow night! HAHAHAHAHA....might be an opportinity to get Sunday's blip!

I am so happy that the sun shone today. It would have been pretty miserable for the guys running in and out to the removal van if it had been yesterday's weather.

So, our last night in our home for the last 15 years. Today has been a day of lasts.....just about every time I've done something the thought has popped into my head that this will be the last time I will do this in this house. I'm about to give Alan his last dinner and this will be my last blip from here too.

But I'm not sad....just doing lots of happy reminiscing and feeling very lucky to have been so happy here. Our home has looked after us well.

Decided today's blip had to be the conservatory. Of all the rooms in the house it's where we have spent most time, alone, together, with family and friends. Many a good night has been had in there.....with gentle mornings afterwards just sitting in the quiet warmth, listening to the birds. As you can see from the pic, we don't move our furniture when hoovering. Disgusting! LOL!
