So my brother and I spent the early hours of this morning, experimenting with astrophotography in the middle of nowhere.

Conclusion: still too much light pollution to get the right shots but a real learning curve. I'm definitely getting closer.

In the meantime here is a quick shot I took through the trees. A little dark but I quite like it. Spot the bonus shooting star across the middle.

The family and I have come to Wales for the weekend so I might see what luck I can get with the weather. Tonight's forecast however: rubbish.
