Madagascar Palm

I have nurtured this plant from a 4 inch tall specimen bought at a cactus show to well over 6 feet and too tall to bring in and out of the house for wintering. So, my neighbor and horticulturist Jim cut it in half! Now to see if we can transplant the top and wait for the bottom to sprout again. He is confident. I like to grow things, but this was my greatest achievement! I was a little nervous to consent to the machete. We shall see.
