Window sill at St. Mary's
St. Mary's church at Cowlam near Driffield, East Yorkshire. The Black death of 1348 - 50 depleted this village and all that is really left is a church in a farmyard. The church was rebuilt by Sir Tatton Sykes and his daughter in the mid Nineteenth century. What is of note is a Norman font. If you find this church, take a photograph, and can then find me, I'll buy you a beer.
