At Hverfjall in Mývatnssveit

Today we went to Mývatnssveit. It's really a beautiful place, just an hour drive from Akureyri, and therefore makes an excellent one day outing. The weather was OK, it was around -3°C and windy, but at least it didn't snow while we were there. In Mývatnssveit we first had lunch at Dimmuborgir café, but then we walked up to Hverfjall (a crater). For people in a good shape it's a very easy walk, and there's a nice view from the top. It's also possible to walk all the way around the crater top, but it was very cold wind up there, so we didn't do that. Afterwards we went to Mývatn Nature Baths, and that was certainly very relaxing. There we also had a coffee and a cake before heading back home to Akureyri.
