MONARCH

This is the early stage of the Monarch chrysalis.  It wasnt an easy shot today for two reasons ! the wind - & then a 6.3 mag. (r) earthquake just off Kaikoura.  The land was rolling under me for some time - me thinking thats a funny bit of wind shaking my Chrysalis !! We live in the shaky isles at around 45 degrees south - but we do have Monarch butterflies. Thats gotta be a plus !! here-tis.
