Time for a new sofa?

Last night was hysterical.  My husband and I were watching TV in our family room sitting on our sofa.  The sofa has a reclining feature that works with a button on the side of each seat.  It's plugged into the wall behind us.  We both had our seats reclined enough that our legs and feet were elevated. 
When it was time to go to bed, we went to hit the button to put the seat back to its upright position and no matter how many times we pressed the button, nothing happened.  We were stuck on the couch!  We were laughing thinking that Dillon must have gone behind the sofa and accidently pulled the electrical cord out. 

We had to take turns crawling onto the middle seat to get off.  The bad news is that we checked the plug and it was still plugged in.  Something must have gone bad with the motor or connections.  So if you walk into my family room right now, you will see two empty, fully reclined seats with no way to put them back down into a normal seat to sit on.  We called the furniture store and we are waiting to hear if they will send someone to look at it or not.  I might be needing a new sofa.
