Every quarter, publishers and the greater industry alike, eagerly await the announcement that stops all media planning; The Ikon Rep of the Quarter.
 
It is with great pleasure we announce that James and Alicia from Mi9 have taken out this coveted title; a title that many reps can only one day dream of achieving. I mean, it’s a real big deal right?! A faux meeting full of bad/under-performing feedback in the big serious boardroom, followed by the entire agency busting through the doors screeching and cheering, a cake, a laminated certificate and the awkward silence that ensues once the ad-libbed ceremony has finished.
 
James Gregory, Queensland Digital Sales Manager and amateur body builder has now taken this title for a second time; the first double-whammy this market has seen. James was awarded the prestigious recognition for his commitment to delivering a service and results that always put Ikon's clients at the centre of all he does. Whether it’s after-hours/weekend calls to respond to urgent emails from new and needy digital staff at Ikon, turning static ads to fancy ones at the 11th hour or just going above and beyond without being asked to deliver value to a campaign to ensure it meets the required success metrics – it’s never a stretch for our mate Jimmy.
 
The award was bestowed upon James’ right-hand-wo-man Alicia Doessel, Sales Co-ordinator and general triple threat (smart, funny and babin’), for the first time in recognition of her ability to implement seamlessly, proactively communicate any and all relevant information relating to campaigns before something bad happens and for just generally keeping James organised and in line. Ikon would further like to add bonus points to Alicia’s nomination for coming to the pretend ‘crisis meeting’ armed with 84 reports, feverishly taking notes (and asking permission to take notes!) and joining us for half of the lunch DESPITE BEING AT HOME SICK FOR THE DAY WITH FOOD POISONING. Dedication.
