Dick's Pics

What price a beach hut on the south coast of England? Eleven new ones here at Highcliffe in Dorset have recently sold for £42,000 each.  At Nearby Mudeford spit, a larger hut with beds (but with no running water) went on the market last year for £270,000.

The local council insists that huts are painted in uniform colours. One chap was ordered to remove some sailing boats he'd painted on this hut. I've used the new feature to included the controversial hut. The council backed off, however, when other hut owners said they liked his decorations.

The strong sun put the huts in to shadow, enabling them to be picked out in a rather disembodied way. I've used the new feature to include the controversial hut. Only in little England!

A few more here (I've been enjoying collecting stuff on Pinterest these past few days).

A blip from 1913.

It's a big worry (only in little England).
