This is the face of a long time friend and soon to be first-time father. If you look very closely you can see the dawning realization that in a few weeks his life is going to be completely different: gone are the photos of ski trips and fast cars, replaced instead by car seats and prams.

Of course, there was also a lot of chat about other things too: cameras, the election, barbeques, the suburbs, house prices. I think we put the world to rights. I did get a bit of a slagging for having completely manual glass... 

In other exciting news: Pentax announce the K3-ii with more nifty features than you can shake a stick at and the cold is still in full swing, complete with extended sneezing fits if the temperature changes too much.
