The Spire of Glass...

After lugging a tripod with me up to and around London I couldn't not  have a go at the best and latest monolith to light up the London sky, now could I?

And yes, I suppose it is natural for me to see this tallest glasshouse in the world as an update to my own beloved Salisbury Cathedral Spire, the tallest religious building in the land.

Note the teeny Southwark Cathedral, which would have seen as huge back in its day, completely dwarfed by the Shard.
