End Of An Era

The highly anticipated new suite arrived today. The parents have been threatening to buy one for some time now and a few weeks ago they finally pulled the trigger.

All my life I have walked into my front room and been met by a plush green sofa, that started to sag a bit in its final months, but today I came home and found 2 red, rigid chairs and a grey sofa that's slightly bigger than the last.

I miss the old suite.

It's in a skip now, the sofa was sawn in half.

All that remains of the old green suite is the legs, they're lying outside on the kitchen window ledge and until I saw them lying there tonight, I never really noticed the numerous scuff, scratches and nicks in them.

So it's out with the old, in with the new. The question still remains though;

Whose going to be the first to spill something on the new suite?
