Copperlight

The huge beeches in the garden, one green, one copper, are just coming into leaf and they are glorious. This is from this morning, backlit by the morning sun; but be sure there will be more pictures to follow.

Spent the afternoon finishing and clearing the garden areas we worked on yesterday with the digger.  Even relatively minor 'fettling' seemed to involve carting innumerable heavy barrows of soil around.  Still, it looks good.  

So good that we're now wondering where to bonfire the current pile of prunings...
