The Royal Scots Greys

In 1906, this monument to the Royal Scots Greys was erected at the edge of Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh to honour members of the Regiment that fell during the Boer War.

Absolutely gorgeous weather today. I had was lucky enough to be forced to visit my bank to pay in a cheque (seriously, who uses cheques in this day and age?!) during my lunch hour. Siezing the opportunity, I brought the camera with me. Didn't have long, but managed to grab a couple of quick snaps to christen my new wide angle lens (after waiting three and a half weeks for it to arrive, but that's another story).

See this one full screen.
A couple more snaps on my Flickr.
